At ArtRio 2026, Almeida & Dale reaffirms its commitment to promoting contemporary art within the national and international circuits while presenting a selection of works by key figures in the history of modern and late 20th century art. Among these works, Alexander Calder, Lygia Clark, Miguel Rio Branco, and Damien Hirst find a point of convergence in the idea of movement, which emerges through the invisible forces of gravity acting on mobile structures, the handling of sculptural objects, or the pictorial representation of bodily or ethereal dynamism. Also highlighted, Moffat Takadiwa and No Martins present sophisticated chromatic compositions and material investigations. Drawing on the vibration of colors and textures, their works question spatial and economic stratification, the mechanisms through which power is maintained, and historically dominant visual narratives. The selection also includes works by artists represented by the gallery, as well as works from its collection.
