The fifth edition of ABERTO opens in São Paulo and features works by Rebeca Carapiá and Vivian Caccuri. The annual exhibition this year takes place at Casa Bola in Itaim Bibi. Both artists present pieces made specifically for the project — in this edition, Eduardo Longo’s iconic project is conceived as an inhabitable sculpture.
Aiming to bring art and architecture closer together, the curatorial program by Filipe Assis, Claudia Moreira Salles, and Kiki Mazzucchelli, together with guest curator Fernando Serapião, also launches ABERTO Rua: a series of public interventions that expand the exhibition’s reach. Sculptures by Amilcar de Castro (IRR-71, 2000) and a site-specific piece by Túlio Pinto (Athar #7, 2026) occupy different points along Avenida Faria Lima, between Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva and Rua Adolfo Tabacow.
