Living Collection is a program that explores Almeida & Dale’s collection through exhibitions that propose dialogues between contemporary artists and those from different generations. They transcend chronological boundaries, create unexpected connections, reveal new layers of meaning, and foster encounters between distinct times and narratives.
Alchemy, Magic, and Other Enchantments, the first of these exhibitions, opens on June 7 at Fradique 1360. Alchemy, magic, and imaginary landscapes take over the space through a selection of works that move between sculpture, painting, installation, and photography. Together, these practices construct a sensorial and symbolic environment in which the viewer is led into a metaphysical and evocative dimension. It is an immersive landscape that summons memories, myths, and imaginaries, bridging different generations and modes of artistic creation.
