Daiara Tukano, Hori (2023)
Works by Daiara Tukano and Lidia Lisbôa are featured in the exhibition Jangueando: Recent Acquisitions 2021–2025.
The exhibition presents works recently incorporated into the museum’s collection and includes a painting from the Hori series (2023) by Daiara Tukano, as well as a piece from the series Tetas que deram de mamar ao mundo (2023) by Lidia Lisbôa.
By expanding perspectives on different worldviews and acknowledging collective empowerment through the knowledge and practices of specific communities, Tukano’s and Lisbôa’s works contribute to the exhibition’s approach—conceiving spaces of encounter as a response to the current context of threats faced by Latin American communities in the United States.
