Harvard Art Museums
Cambridge, USA

Works by Daiara Tukano recently acquired by the Harvard Art Museum in Cambridge, USA, feature in the exhibition Drawn to Earth: Contemporary Art and Environment in the Americas, on view at that institution.

The show subverts the legacy of landscape drawing in the Americas, challenging its historical role as an instrument of European colonial control. The aim is to draw attention to the narratives of eleven contemporary American artists who are now transforming this practice of drawing into their own strategies and worldviews, addressing themes such as ecological crisis, territory, and the communion between natural and human life.

Drawn to Earth: Contemporary Art and Environment in the Americas runs until this Sunday, October 5.
