This Thursday, August 21, Elena Damiani opens Mineral Rising, her new solo exhibition at Galerie Nordenhake in Stockholm, Sweden 

In the show, Damiani presents a series of sculptures that expand her research on geological processes, understanding nature as a living and dynamic system by revealing how mineral forms tend toward transmutation, even when they appear static. 

Among the works, a highlight is Strata Belt, composed of 105 travertine modules and central to the exhibition. The oscillation of earthy tones, together with the structure’s angular curves, evokes the erosions found in sedimentary rocks.
