A new book focusing on Leonilson’s trajectory has just come out. Conceived by the Sociedade Amigos do Projeto Leonilson, the book brings together transcriptions from 19 cassette tapes recorded by the artist between 1990 and 1993, the final years of his life.
The material reveals everyday accounts, sometimes fragmented and improvised, and now brings the public closer to his subjective universe. Organized by writer João Anzanello Carrascoza, the volume is structured chronologically around six themes recurring throughout the recorded diary: his own words, his work, his loves, his travels, his family relationships, and his existential concerns.
