This Saturday, November 1, at 11 am, the Floresta de Infinitos group exhibition opens, featuring works by Jaider Esbell, at Casa das Histórias, in Salvador.
Floresta de Infinitos includes 60 works, among them a set of six acrylic paintings by Jaider Esbell, created between 2019 and 2021. In these works, the colors of the lines and delicate drawings reveal a world of beings that inhabit the forest, beyond what human eyes can perceive.
Curated by Ayrson Heráclito, Marcelo Campos, Thais Darzé, and Tiganá Santana, the exhibition is inspired by the installation of the same name created by Heráclito and Santana for the 35th São Paulo Biennial in 2023. The main objective is to amplify the debate on the climate crisis through a poetic and spiritual appeal that demonstrates that the forest is not just a physical space, but a territory inhabited by caboclos, orixás, and the peoples who reside there.
