Henrique Oliveira is one of the artists featured in FOLIA, a new group exhibition at the historic Abdülmecid Efendi Mansion in Istanbul, Turkey.
A frequent presence at shows that seek interaction between architecture and sculpture, the artist presents the unprecedented Miasmas (2025) at the spaces. In it, plywood structures take on shapes similar to tree trunks, occupying the floors and windows of the building in a process of unbridled germination. The work establishes a relationship between the power of the natural life cycle and enduring human constructions.
