On Saturday, October 26, Instituto Inhotim in Brumadinho will unveil the installation Apenas depois da chuva [Only After the Rain], created by Rebeca Carapiá specifically for the lake near the True Rouge Gallery.

The work consists of 20 sculptures, each measuring five meters, hovering over the water’s surface, which suggests new images in relation to the reflections and the water’s murkiness. For its conception, the artist immersed herself in the Serra da Capivara in Piauí. The work offers reflections on the relationship between water and territory, exploring the inscriptions found in the region’s drawings and sculptures. During her research trip, Carapiá developed drawings later turned into ironwork.
