José Bento (1962, Salvador, Brazil) currently presents A qualquer fagulha, at the Centro Cultural Unimed, in Belo Horizonte. Curated by Rafael Perpétuo and Clarice Steinmüller.

The artist’s solo show displaces the human centrality of debates about the environment and points to the positive and negative potential of fire, bringing together important works such as Do pó ao pó [From dust to dust] (2016), presented at the 32nd Bienal de São Paulo, Ar [Air], created for the 13th Bienal Mercosur, in 2022, and Boca [Mouth] (2018), shown at Millan, in the show Todos os Olhos.

A qualquer fagulha is on view through January 14, 2024.
