This Saturday, October 18, Casa Zalszupin will host the group exhibition L’atelier, inspired by the catalogs and advertisements of the company of the same name created by architect Jorge Zalszupin, in 1959.  

The show brings together a selection of furniture from L’atelier in dialogue with works by renowned artists linked to the currents of concretism and neoconcretism. Curated by Marina Frúgoli, it highlights modernist trends in design and visual arts that echo the architecture of Casa Zalszupin.  

In addition to strengthening the links between formal rigor and modernist precepts, the works expand our perception of the artistic landscape of the second half of the 20th century, presenting influences that range from organic abstraction to pop art, movements that also gained prominence during this period.  

L’atelier presents works by Abraham Palatnik, Amilcar de Castro, Ascânio MMM, Franz Weissmann, Genaro de Carvalho, Geraldo de Barros, Hermelindo Fiamminghi, Hércules Barsotti, Ivan Serpa, Jandira Waters, Jorge Zalszupin, Judith Lauand, Luiz Sacilotto, Lygia Pape, Max Bill, Maurício Nogueira Lima, Ubi Bava, and Wesley Duke Lee.
