The Museu Lasar Segall opens Precisão e Espírito (Precision and Spirit), a new solo exhibition by Paulo Pasta.
The exhibition, curated by professor and researcher Luiz Armando Bagolin, highlights the artist’s recent works from 2023 to 2026 in dialogue with a key piece from his early practice in the 1980s.
Focused on the use and thinking of color in Pasta’s poetics, the exhibition reclaims painting as a space of intellectual creation for the artist. “The canvas becomes the place where visual decisions and reflection merge, and where color, form, and surface cease to be abstract categories to operate as concrete, almost physical problems,” Bagolin writes in his critical text.
