On Saturday, June 14, Almeida & Dale will host the launch of Nossa Senhora do Desejo, [Our Lady of Desire] a publication made on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition currently on view at the gallery.

The event begins at 11:30am at the Fradique Coutinho 1430 venue and features a conversation between Sara Ramo—one of the organizers of the first posthumous exhibition of Pedro Moraleida—and Laymert Garcia dos Santos, emeritus professor from the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences at Unicamp. Moderated by curator Lisette Lagnado, the discussion will explore the concept of the body without organs, developed by Antonin Artaud, a key reference for both Moraleida’s practice and the exhibition’s curatorial approach.

Nossa Senhora do Desejo is on view through June 21 at both the Fradique 1430 and Caconde 152 locations of Almeida & Dale.
