Written by Luigi Nono and never before performed in Brazil or Latin America, Nuno Ramos makes his opera-directing debut with Intolleranza 1960. Co-directed with Eduardo Climachauska, the production brings one of the most radical operas of the 20th century to the stage of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo.

Written in 1961, it addresses themes that remain urgent today: migration, state violence, war, ecological crisis, and the nuclear threat. Marked by an experimental approach, the production resonates with a practice that has, for decades, moved across different artistic languages while challenging the conventions of each.
