New work by Lais Myrrha was announced last Thursday, December 11, as part of the Instituto Inhotim’s 2026 program.
Contraplano (2025) is the commissioned work through which the artist will occupy an area of the park. The sculpture transforms the site’s architecture into landscape, inviting visitors to inhabit the space through the observation of the horizon, in what can be described as a kind of “mountain canopy.”
The exhibition takes place within the context of Instituto Inhotim’s twentieth-anniversary celebrations, as part of a program that spans the institution’s three core areas of activity—art, nature, and education—proposing experiences that expand the dialogue between creation, territory, and community.
