For the first time, works from some of the seminal series in Lidia Lisbôa’s career — Tetas que deram de mamar ao mundo, Cupinzeiros, Cordão Umbilical, and Casulo, — are on view to the public in the Japanese capital, brought together in the exhibition Confluence Tokyo – São Paulo at the Embassy of Brazil in Japan. Organized by Japan Brazil Art Center, the exhibition articulates connections between the São Paulo Biennial and street art.
