Viagem ao redor do meu quarto | Almeida & Dale, São Paulo, 2025 | p: Julia Thompson
On May 31, Saturday, at 11:30am, Paulo Pasta welcomes critic Ronaldo Brito for a conversation at the exhibition A Journey Around My Room, at Almeida & Dale Fradique 1360.
The show, which inaugurated the gallery’s new exhibition space, features recent works by Pasta, including oil paintings on canvas and paper. The selection reflects a practice guided by the tension between color, time, figuration, and abstraction—aspects highlighted in the medium- and small-format works presented.
Art critic, poet, and professor Ronaldo Brito has been an interlocutor of Pasta’s for decades. In 2008, he curated the artist’s exhibition at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro, and in 2021, the pair collaborated again on the occasion of the exhibition Correspondências, in 2021, whose catalog brings together exchanges and reflections between the two during the confinement period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
