Candelabra ‘Hide and Seek‘
2025, bronze
This Thursday, September 11, Saint Clair Cemin opens his new solo exhibition entitled Tosca at the David Gill Gallery in London.
In his international show, Cemin presents a body of work focused on his research into design. These are bronze candlesticks, mirrors, seats, tables, and chandeliers that incorporate elements of nature both as poetic inspiration and as decorative solutions. The convergence of organic and animal forms gives rise to functional objects imbued with warmth and imagination.
Cemin began his career as a designer 18 years ago with a commission to renovate the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris. Tasked with creating pieces that complemented the museum’s collections, he focused on hunting and nature from the 16th to 19th centuries, while maintaining a contemporary touch.
Tosca is on view through October 4.
