On August 12, Thiago Martins de Melo opens Cosmogonia Colérica, his first solo show in São Luis, his hometown.
Curated by Germano Dushá, the exhibition presents a journey throughout the artist’s career, bringing together works created from 2013 to 2025. They synthesize the main themes addressed in Martins de Melo’s work, such as historical episodes, spiritual entities, scenes of popular resistance, sensual images, and bodies in transmutation that are interwoven in paintings, sculptures, installations, and videos.
The exhibition will be held at the Convento das Mercês and Chão SLZ, both in the capital of Maranhão.
