On show through August 2 at Martins & Monteiro, the exhibition presents contemporary art from Maranhão, covering significant periods of Brazilian art guided by the rhythms and rhythms of Jamaican music in the territory of Maranhão.

The group exhibition features the installation Coluna que anda sobre garra, 2016, and the painting Cavalo, 2019, by Martins de Melo, and it investigates Maranhão’s artistic production from different periods and in dialogue with reggae rhythms.
