Emmanuel Nassar, Brasil Luz, 2000, ft [ph] Raphaela Campano.
Alex Červený , Emmanuel Nassar, and Felipe Cohen take part in the III Ciclo Expositivo at Casa de Cultura do Parque in São Paulo.
Curated by Claudio Cretti and Tetê Lian, the program brings together three simultaneous shows drawn from the wide-ranging collection of Regina Pinho de Almeida, the institution’s founder and executive director.
In Som e Fúria, Nassar’s Brasil Luz (2000) pairs the sheet-metal elements central to his work with electrical wires and sockets. Červený’s Comigo Ninguém Pode (2008) joins Corpo-a-corpo, part of the Project 280×1020. In the Cabinet, Cohen’s Livro (2010) appears in Balada para um Espectro, a presentation that looks at collecting through the lens of Duchamp’s Boîte-en-Valise (1935–41).
On view through February 22.
