Vanderlei Lopes presents a solo project at Almeida & Dale’s booth at ESTE ARTE 2026, held from January 4 to 7 in José Ignacio, Uruguay. 

In nine new works, Lopes employs aluminum in his sculptural practice for the first time, alongside materials he has previously used, such as bronze and silver. The sculptures bring together photographic logic and the notion of the passage of time with environmental and sociopolitical concerns that permeate South America’s history and present day, especially the coastal landscape where the fair takes place.
