Vivian Caccuri is among the artists featured in the program for the Colomboscope Festival, taking place from January 21 to 31 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The annual festival operates on the premise of integrating diverse artistic languages through a program of performances, exhibitions, residencies, and workshops. Its ninth edition, titled Rhythm Alliances, is dedicated to the sonic imagination as a connective thread among the 50 participating artists. Caccuri’s presentation includes works from her Chahal series (2023) — embroideries on mosquito net canvas that blend painting, sewing, and drawing, evoking the visuality of the first large-scale sound walls built in the 1970s.
