This viewing room brings together a cross-generational selection of works by women artists from around the globe. With practices ranging across painting, sculpture, drawing, and textiles, these artists create a field in which materiality, gesture, and the processes of image-making are articulated through shifts between languages and media.
The set highlights diverse procedures that challenge the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, giving rise to vibrant surfaces in which memory, time, and experience intertwine. Part of the selection features recurring landscapes, maps, bodies, and organic materials, pointing toward an understanding of the world as an unstable field in which territoriality, nature, and cosmology are continually reconfigured.
