Almeida & Dale opens group show “Temporal landscapes: evolving perspectives"
10/14/2024
On October 26, the exhibition Temporal Landscapes: Evolving Perspectives opens at Almeida & Dale. Curated by María Inés Rodriguez, director of the Walter Leblanc Foundation in Brussels, the group show takes a close look at landscapes in constant transformation, involution and disappearance in the production of Brazilian artists from different generations. Based on their productions, the curator investigates the material and symbolic ecologies proposed in order to imagine alternative futures.
Conceived from a group of installations by paraiba-based artist Marlene Almeida – exhibited in dialogue with pieces from the Almeida & Dale collection – the exhibition also includes works by Tomie Ohtake, Farnese de Andrade, Eleonore Koch, Djanira, Ione Saldanha, Leonilson, Joseca Yanomami and Vivian Caccuri.
Temporal Landscapes: Evolving Perspectives will be on view until February 2025.
