Almeida & Dale

Founded in 1998, Almeida & Dale has become one of the most relevant galleries in Brazil by activating the cultural and commercial circuit, promoting the legacy of fundamental artists in the history of Brazilian art, and placing their work in important national and international collections and archives.

In recent years, with Antônio Almeida and Carlos Dale as Directors, the gallery's programme has revisited the work of major artists, organizing several solo exhibitions conceived by curators involved in researching the artists' body of work. Produced in line with museum standards, these exhibitions are usually accompanied by publications recognized for the originality and notoriety of the academic essays and the recovery of archival texts. Almeida & Dale has recently held exhibitions of key artists in the historical and critical panorama of Brazilian art. With loans from renowned collectors and institutions, the exhibitions featured artists such as Willys de Castro, Di Cavalcanti, Flávio de Carvalho, Mestre Didi, Alberto da Veiga Guignard, Alfredo Volpi, Jandira Waters, Roberto Burle Marx, fostering renewed critical interest about their work in Brazil and abroad.

Along with producing exhibitions and publications, Almeida & Dale supports projects to preserve and disseminate the work of Brazilian artists. The gallery represents artists such as Siron Franco and Victor Arruda, as well as the Estates of Amílcar de Castro, Sidney Amaral and Luiz Sacilotto.
