Crossroads: Rubem Valentim’s 1960s, a solo exhibition celebrating Rubem Valentim’s paintings, sculptures, and graphite studies, has just opened at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami.
The artist’s works were also featured in Adriano Pedrosa’s curatorial selection for the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, titled Stranieri Ovunque | Foreigners Everywhere, which concludes this Sunday, November 24. Valentim’s presence in Venice is not new; his works were part of the Brazilian representation at the 31st Biennale Arte in 1962, underscoring the enduring resonance of his practice on the global stage.
