On view in Venice: Brazilian artists are featured at the 60th Biennale Arte

Almeida & Dale is delighted that several of the gallery’s artists are presented at this year’s 60a International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, among them Maria Martins, Ismael Nery, Rubem Valentim, Tarsila do Amaral, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Ione Saldanha and Alfredo Volpi.

One of the rooms in the 'Nucleo Storico', located in the Arsenale, is dedicated to the Italian artistic diaspora in the 20th century: Italian artists who settled abroad, integrating into local cultures—and often played significant roles in the development of modernism narratives beyond Italy. This room showcases works by 40 Italian artists, from first or second generation, presented in the exhibition system on glass easels conceived by Lina Bo Bardi. There, works by Alfredo Volpi, Danilo Di Prete, and Maria Polo can be seen.
